Pets in Heaven

Stewart

I think one of the highlights of being an artist is to be able to create a beautiful painting of a beloved pet who has passed on – quite different from a photograph but I think to create a portrait from a photograph adds so much more realism especially when you can almost stroke it (this is what most of my clients have found so delightful and have been generous to comment upon.)

When I am commissioned to paint a passed on pet sometimes it is quite tricky to paint the pets from photographs supplied as sometimes an overexposed photograph may be all my client may have and therefore I must rely on my artistic talent. It is always wonderful, however, for me to witness the look of love and delight on the owner's face when they see their finished portrait.
